Farming is the skill that allows you to plant your crops and harvest the produce. At times, you will find that you need to tend to your crops, as they can become diseased. Farming is also a skill that goes hand in hand with herblore, which can become very handy later on.

Now to get to the farming area. Go to your spellbook and click 'More Skilling Zones', and then Farming. You will be teleported directly to the Catherby flower and herb patch, located behind Catherby bank.
As you can see with the table provided, the required equipment needed to farm at these patches are:
Rake
Seed Dibber
Spade
Plant Cure and/OR
Once you have all the above, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Teleport to the farming area.
2. Rake the weeds in the herb patch and plant your seed.
3. Await for your herb to grow, or carry on to another patch.
(Speak to Dantaera to gain access to more farming locations)
Note: if your herb becomes diseased, use your plant cure on the diseased herbs. Your herbs will automatically be cured and continue on with the growing process. Also, when and if you have level 25 farming, it is highly suggested to plant some woad seeds in the flower patches, to prevent your herbs from becoming diseased.
As you can see with the table provided, the required equipment needed to farm at these patches are:
Rake
Seed Dibber
Spade
Plant Cure and/OR
When you have the listed items, teleport to the Catherby Farm patch (as shown above), and speak to Dantaera. When you are speaking to Dantaera, select 'Teleport to a Bush Patch', and choose any of the listed options.
Once you have finally arrived at a bush patch, follow the following steps:
1. Rake the patch.
(If it needs to be weeded)
2. Plant your seed in the empty patch.
3. Await for your seed to grow into a bush.
4. Once your plant has finally grown, 'check health' and then pick the berries.
5. After the bush has been picked, use your spade on the bush to clear the patch.
As you can see with the table provided, the required equipment needed to farm at these patches are:
Rake
Seed Dibber
Spade
Trowel
Plant Pot
Watering Can
Plant Cure and/OR
When you have the listed items, teleport to the Catherby Farm patch
(as shown above), and speak to Dantaera. When you are speaking to Dantaera, select 'Teleport to a Tree Patch', and choose any of the listed options.
Once you've arrived at a Tree Patch, follow the bellow steps:
1. Plant a seed into the pot.
2. Water the seed, it'll then grow into a sappling.
3. Rake the patch.
(If it has weeds growing)
4. Use the sapling on the empty patch.
5. Wait for the tree to grow.
6. 'Check Health'.
7. Cut down the tree.
8. Use a spade on the stump.
(You will receive roots in return)
A special seed is the type of seed that requires its very own farming patch, in order to grow it. There is only one kind of farming patch for a special type of seed.
As you can see with the table provided, the required equipment needed to farm at these patches are:
Rake
Seed Dibber
Spade
Plant Cure and/OR
Gloves
(If you're planning on farming Belladonna)
When you have the required items needed for your
"special" seed, teleport to its farm patch.
Cactus Patch: City Teleport > More Cities > Al Kharid.
Mushroom Sport Patch: City Teleport > More Cities > Canifis.
Belladonna Patch: Skilling Teleport > More Skilling Zones > Farming > Speak to Dantaera > Teleport to a Tree Patch > West of Lumbridge.
Once you have finally arrived at the special patch, follow the following steps:
1. Rake the patch.
(If it needs to be weeded)
2. Plant your seed in the empty patch.
3. Await for your plant to grow.
4. Once your plant has finally grown, 'check health', and then pick the plant.
5. After the plant has been picked, use your spade on it to clear the patch.
Credits to
Jonas for a couple of pictures I couldn't get to (premium), and for the updated information I had missed since quitting. Brawlers and all that, still to come.

Love your guide very clean and neat! However I was just wondering if you could also summarize the fastest way for leveling it? Would be greatly appreciated!

I would but there's just too many ways to go about it.
- Profit vs time & experience (Most profitable solution)
- Time vs. profit & experience (Fastest solution)
- Experience vs. time & profit (Most experience solution)
It could be broken down further, like the most profitable and less time consuming, the least time consuming with most experience etc etc.
The best way that I would suggest though, is planting the herbs needed to make extremes, torstol included. As they are what sell the most. If you want to add an additional amount of experience into your farm runs, I would also suggest planting some trees between each run. (Seeing as Magic Trees, for an example, can take over 1-2 minutes to be fully grown)
